If you’ve been blogging for a while, you might be ready to finally make some money from it. You’ve been working hard to bring traffic to your blog so you should be monetizing it.
And one way to do that is through affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is a way of promoting products to your readers and in exchange, if someone ends up making a purchase through your link, you can earn a small commission from it.
It’s a way of generating passive income for your blogging efforts while promoting tools that you love & find helpful for your audience! Sounds like a win-win situation?!
I love affiliate marketing because you get to earn money for a link you were probably going to put on your blog anyway. Think about all your fav products and resources. Chances are — they have affiliate programs.
There are affiliate programs for virtually every niche out there and many of them accept new bloggers (I do believe you should have at least 5-10 blog posts up on your blog first!).
So let’s dive in and check them out!
Affiliate programs for bloggers
First up is Amazon.
The Amazon Affiliate program is awesome because you can be an affiliate for literally anything. If it can be found on Amazon, you can grab links for it and place them in your blog posts.
So that’s why it’s really great for any niche. Because you will always be able to find items that your readers will enjoy.
Here is the application to apply!
Once you apply, you will have to wait and hear back if you’re accepted. That’s why it’s super important to have a handful of blog posts on your site so they can see what kind of content you can provide.
Next up is actually one of my fav affiliate programs and one of the first ones I joined when I started my blog — Shareasale.
Shareasale is different in the sense that it’s a website just for affiliate programs. It’s not a website to shop on like Amazon.
There are so many different programs you can join on Shareasale like Wayfair, Sally Beauty, Minted, Cricut, and Erin Condren.
As you can tell, there are so many niches for Shareasale so you will definitely have many options to choose from.
Once you join and browse through the programs, you can see how much each affiliate program pays.Want to make money on your blog through affiliate marketing? Check out these affiliate programs! Click To Tweet
Awin is also an affiliate network that has many programs you can join for a variety of niches! On this network, you can find things like Booking.com, Etsy, Fiverr and more.
I recommend being on both Awin and Shareasale so that you have access to more brands that you can promote. Etsy is a big one for making affiliate sales (at least for me!) so no matter what niche you’re in, you’re likely to find something you can promote from Etsy.
If you’re a travel blogger, you can promote Booking or other travel websites.
4. Ultimate Bundles
I looove Ultimate Bundles! I’m both a customer and an affiliate for them.
So if you don’t know what Ultimate Bundles are — they’re basically bundles of ebooks, courses, workbooks, and other digital products all centered around a certain topic.
The bundles are heavily discounted and offer a ton of value. The catch is that they’re only available for a very short amount of time each year. My favorite bundle is the Genius Bloggers Toolkit that’s only available for a couple of days each October.
But they do offer bundles for so many other topics such as:
- Healthy meal planning
- Essential oils
and more! You’re definitely bound to find something you can promote for your niche.
In addition to promoting the bundles, you can also make money by referring other people to become affiliates for Ultimate Bundles.
Last but not least, we have Ebates! Ebates is a website that helps you save money. How it works is it’s a Chrome extension that you can activate on your browser and when you shop, it offers you cash back on your purchases.
It’s awesome because you can use it to save money yourself and you can also earn money by being an affiliate. It’s great for any niche because no matter what you blog about, people love to shop and there’s always something out there they can buy!
They pay $5 for every sign up you get.
And there you have it!
Those are the 5 best affiliate programs for beginners. They’re general enough that you can find something to apply to EVERY niche and they’re an excellent way to start making your very first blogger paycheck.
